Is there anyone using a procedures template with PolicyStat? We have a template for policies, but I’m interested in adding in a new template for procedures and don’t know how to do this.
Procedures
Hi Melissa, we have 3 draft templates in PolicyStat. One is for Guidelines, one is what we consider to be our standard Policy template, and the third is for Protocols. If you have system/site administrator access in PolicyStat, you can navigate to the Manage tab and click on Admin Console. Within the Configuration section you should see “Site Policy Templates” and if you click on it, you’ll be taken to the list of any current templates used by your site. In the upper right corner is a button to Create New Template. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to click on my name and send me a message.
Thank you! I did reach out on the helpdesk and they got back to me - I really appreciate your support and willingness to help!
With regard to procedures, what we refer to as Standard Work Instructions, does anyone incorporate a purpose statement or any other sections other than the steps?
Hi Suzette,
We include a Purpose Statement section at the beginning of our policies, guidelines, and protocols. When appropriate, we sometimes include sections for Scope and Responsibilities, and at the end of a document may include a References/Resources section.
Thanks Enessa! That aligns with what I want to propose to my team.

Attached is a generic Procedure Template. It has a statement. Best practice is to link all procedures to an overarching policy.
